About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive the growth of our client’s business across Australia and the Pacific region. This role will be pivotal in delivering targeted, profitable, and sustainable business growth, with direct accountability for sales performance.
The BDM will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy aimed at expanding sales to both existing and new customers. You will lead the strategic direction of the product line, ensuring alignment with business objectives while supporting and guiding the external sales team in achieving their sales targets.
This role is based in Carrum Downs (Melbourne). The successful candidate will be required to travel throughout Australia when required, to cultivate new business opportunities.

Key Skills Requirements:
- Market & Customer Insight: Strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics, with the ability to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Engineering Expertise: Solid engineering acumen, with the ability to apply technical knowledge to business growth strategies.
- Business Growth & Change Management: Proven experience in driving and managing growth initiatives, particularly in complex, international environments. Strong leadership skills in change management and transformation initiatives.
- Multinational Corporate Experience: Demonstrated ability to effectively operate within a multinational, matrixed organization, managing cross-functional teams and navigating corporate structures.
- Financial Acumen: Ability to analyse financial data, extract insights, and initiate actions that drive business success.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven experience managing relationships with senior management and key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Strategic & Results-Driven: A strategic thinker with a focus on achieving tangible, result-oriented business outcomes.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with a diverse range of partners, both internal and external.
