Electrical Technician

About the Role

As a Electrical Technician, you will demonstrate a high level of experience & knowledge in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant through both planned maintenance and breakdown support.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned & Breakdown Maintenance

• Plan machine isolations

• Operate using special work orders (eg: clearances, confined space, tag outs, etc)

• Lead audit processes / risk / job safety analysis / contractor management

• Industrial Electronics e.g. setting encoders, servo electric drives, instrumentation, microprocessors

• Planning and managing equipment installation and commissioning of new plant equipment

• Machine automation application

• Sourcing and ordering of specialised parts

• Sign off safety checklists and adhere to all relevant health and safety policies, standards, procedures and legislative requirements

About You

You are a proactive, individual, with outstanding problem solving and multi-tasking skills. Our ideal candidates will have previous experience with the Steel or heavy industry manufacturing environment, and be a highly organised team player with exemplary attention to detail.

To be successful, you will have:

• Min 2 years’ experience – Electrical Technician

• Have experience and/or knowledge of Machine automation application e.g. settings, upgrades, Siemens S5/S7 PLC

• An agile mindset with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives

• Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician,

• A Grade Electrical license

• Experience within the steel or reinforcing sector (advantageous but not essential)

• Must have unlimited work rights in Australia
