Inventory Controller
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our team. The Inventory Controller will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing stock, ordering consumables, and coordinating freight and transport bookings. The successful candidate will have strong Microsoft Excel skills and be able to work Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 2:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using Excel spreadsheets
- Monitor and coordinate incoming and outgoing stock to ensure accurate levels
- Place orders for consumables and monitor stock levels
- Coordinate freight and transport bookings for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Perform regular stocktakes and reconcile discrepancies
- Communicate and collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient inventory management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory control or related field
- Proficiency in Excel and other inventory management software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with excellent communication skills
- Forklift licence (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices
- Ability to work Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 2:30pm
Day-to-day
- Update and maintain inventory records in Excel
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for consumables
- Coordinate freight and transport bookings for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Conduct regular stocktakes and investigate any discrepancies
- Communicate with internal teams to address inventory-related issues and ensure smooth operations
