Inventory Controller

The Roles:
Permanent full-time day positions currently exist for an experienced Inventory Controller, located in their West Melbourne 3PL logistics facility for a leading Australian brand. These roles will see you reporting to the relevant Supervisor and responsible for stock accuracy and reporting on behalf of the customer therefore developing and maintaining an excellent working relationships with the customer is imperative.
You will utilise your knowledge and experience to manage and overcome daily challenges and ensure that inventory operations are running efficiently and smoothly within a fast-paced environment. You will be aided by mentoring and training from day one and the latest technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Supervisor in maintaining inventory accuracy
- Ensure that Pickfaces are replenished in a timely manner
- Ensure productivity standards are met and deliver maximum efficiencies for the customer
- Investigate and respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally
- Updating systems in accordance with specific client requirements
- Report any non-conformances to the Customer Service manager
- Fulfill tasks quickly and accurately working to time constraints and best practise operating procedures
- Strive to maintain and improve performance of existing WMS system
- Liaise with and build excellent relationships with customer & internal stakeholders including operational, supervisory and management staff
About you:
- Possess a minimum of 3 years relevant inventory experience within a 3PL warehouse
- Experienced in using WMS (Manhattan preferred)
- Experienced in Inventory Control processes
- Experienced with stock discrepancies and investigations
- Experienced in conducting stock takes and cycle counts
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Well-developed verbal & written English communication skills
- MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
