Laydown Co-Ordinator – Storeperson

Zoom Recruitment is proudly partnering with a leading energy infrastructure company to recruit an experienced Laydown Coordinator based in Kogan QLD.

Our client is an Australian energy infrastructure company that owns and operates natural gas pipelines, renewable energy generation, and other energy assets across Australia. It is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in Australia, with offices spread across the country.

About the Role

Initially commencing in a casual capacity, The Laydown Coordinator will lead the setup, management and maintenance of the laydown / storage area for a large upcoming Infrastructure project.

During the initial phase you will coordinate equipment and materials deliveries to the site, create and maintain equipment and materials inventory system, ensure equipment and materials are unloaded in a safe and appropriate & timely manner, ensure all stock is delivered accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate equipment and materials receipt with contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure equipment and materials are unloaded in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Inspect equipment and materials on receipt for defects and omissions and report as necessary
  • Ensure equipment and materials are categorised and stored in the appropriate storage location
  • Create, update and maintain equipment and materials inventory for the project including tracking and release to authorised persons
  • Work with security providers to ensure security risks and issues are appropriately managed

Work with Procurement and Purchasing functions to ensure timely engagement of contractors and purchase of materials and equipment, including raising purchase requisitions.

About You

You will be experienced in a similar role within the construction or warehousing industry with demonstrated competency and experience in supporting the development and execution of new site set up. You will also possess a high level of proficiency with computer systems, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The initial assignment will run from March through to potentially September the successful candidate will have the flexibility to work casual ad hoc shifts during this time with the ability to be on standby for important deliveries.

From September onwards this role has potential to become full time for the right candidate.
