Machine Operator – Bathurst

About the Role

Zoom Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator / Overhead Gantry Crane Operator to join our client’s team based in Bathurst. This is an ongoing day shift opportunity offering stability and variety, combining hands-on operational work with entry-level administrative and front-of-house support duties.

This position would suit someone who enjoys working across both warehouse/production and office environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Duties:

• Operating manufacturing/production machinery
• Safe operation of an overhead gantry crane
• Loading and unloading materials
• Working with steel products and materials
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures

Administrative & Front-of-House Duties:

• Data entry and basic reporting
• Assisting with front-of-house (FOH) reception tasks
• Processing job paperwork and documentation
• Using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Providing general administrative support to the office team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous machine operation experience (preferred)
• Overhead gantry crane experience
• Steel reinforcement industry experience advantageous but not essential
• Basic administrative or office experience
• Competency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills and professional presentation
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
