Maintenance Fitter

Zoom Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join a national leader in steel manufacturing in Cavan. With opportunities available across day and afternoon shifts, you’ll work alongside production and team leaders to support both breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance, playing a key role in ensuring smooth operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance tasks
• Attend and resolve machinery breakdowns promptly
• Assist in the commissioning and setup of new equipment
• Collaborate with operators to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement

What you need

• Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) – required
• Full working rights in Australia
• Proven experience in a maintenance role, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to safety and quality standards

Shift Times

Day Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 5:50am – 2:00pm
• Friday: 5:50am – 12:00pm

Afternoon Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 1:50pm – 10:00pm
• Friday: 11:50am – 6:00pm
