Mechanical Technician

About the role

Zoom Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on a short-term basis until 04/07. This role is based in the Kidman Park workshop of a large energy provider. You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing and both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of relevant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair small plant and equipment, including concrete cutters, wackers and generators
• Perform basic maintenance and minor modifications on trucks, vehicles, and trailers
• Maintain on-site compressed natural gas (CNG) compressor and storage cylinders
• Service and maintain mobile CNG cylinders and regulators
• Conduct pneumatic pressure testing
• Assist and collaborate with other departments as required

Your background

• Australian trade qualification as a mechanic (required)
• Experience in maintenance and fault finding on small plant and equipment
• Solid knowledge of pneumatic systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team and with various stakeholders
