About the role
Reporting to the Australian Director, based in Brisbane – Headquarters, this position is an integral part of the overall business.
  
Responsibilities

• Lead Air & Sea Cargo operational team
• Manage customer expectations and service level agreements and KPI’s
• Be accountable for financial performance and generate forecasts and monthly reports
• Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability
• Manage staff performances, reward and training
• Develop and monitor workflow allocation and process and procedures
• Stay informed with relevant Customs laws and manage compliance and regulations
• Manage the daily functions of the business
• Prepare annual performance review and re-evaluate processes
• Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed
• Manage budget to align with goals of business

  
Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Extensive Forwarding operations experience
• Leadership experience preferred but not essential. Those with a genuine desire to lead a team encouraged to apply
• Extensive knowledge regarding market trends and the challenges facing the sector
• Proficiency with Cargowise 1
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and work constructively with other Departments
• Experience in Interbranch operations
• Strong commercial acumen
• Strong ability to multitask
• Comfort working with multiple groups within business
