Plant Technician

Our client is a leading national company specializing in the production and supply of gases for various industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and food and beverage.

They are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter/plant technician to join their LNG Production Facility in Westbury.
This is a long term position for the right candidate.

Hours: Day Shift Monday to Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm (can be slightly flexible with start and finish times)

Payrate: $54.37 plus super

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment
• Manage plant startups, shutdowns, and troubleshoot issues
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status
• Collaborate with other team members to improve plant efficiency and safety
• Ensure site safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Conduct site inductions, risk reviews, and Job Safety Analyses
• Communicate with customers and ROC (Remote Operating Centre) for seamless service delivery
• Small team – must be able to work independently and take ownership
• After hours callout as necessary when rostered on-call (one week in three)
• Contractor management

Qualifications

• Trade Qualification (Mechanical, Instrument or Electrical tradesman)
• Proven experience in a plant/manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and condition monitoring experience
• Skilled in maintenance planning and job prioritization
• Industrial safety systems experience (PTW etc)
• Computerised Maintenance System experience preferred
