Production Operator

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for filling welding gas cylinders, performing manual handling tasks, and working rotational rosters. Candidates with a forklift license will be preferred, and full training will be provided. This role offers opportunities for career progression within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment to fill welding gas cylinders according to safety and quality standards
• Perform manual handling tasks such as maneuvering cylinders using specified technique
• Adhere to rotational rosters for shift work
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor
• Assist with other production tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a repetitive manual handling environment
• Willingness to work rotating rosters and shifts
• Forklift license is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
• Full training will be provided

Day-to-day:

• Inspecting, cleaning and filling welding gas cylinders using specified equipment and procedures
• Handling and stacking cylinders safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met
• Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities
