Production Operator
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for filling welding gas cylinders, performing manual handling tasks, and working rotational rosters. Candidates with a forklift license will be preferred, and full training will be provided. This role offers opportunities for career progression within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment to fill welding gas cylinders according to safety and quality standards
- Perform manual handling tasks such as maneuvering cylinders using specified technique
- Adhere to rotational rosters for shift work
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with other production tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a repetitive manual handling environment
- Willingness to work rotating rosters and shifts
- Forklift license is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Full training will be provided
Day-to-day:
- Inspecting, cleaning and filling welding gas cylinders using specified equipment and procedures
- Handling and stacking cylinders safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met
- Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities
