About Our Client

Our client is a global manufacturing company and market leader in their field. We are working on their behalf to recruit a Production Supervisor based in Western Sydney.

About The Role

As a Production Supervisor based at the companies Penrith site, you will be responsible for one of three sections of the business, overseeing a production team of 30 operators, and ultimately ensuring that production efficiency is maximised within your section.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Supervisor / Team leader, you must work with senior management to maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards in the workplace.
  • Must be able to lead production to meet its daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Ensuring quality control measures are adhered to and quality checks are completed and logged on the internal QMS.
  • Ensure pre-shift start checks are done and be able to set up various machinery/equipment.
  • Ensure operator daily maintenance checks of machinery/equipment are completed.
  • Ensure the MHE is signed off daily.
  • To ensure production orders are raised and closed using our existing systems.
  • Actively contribute and participate in product and manufacturing improvements.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures for specific product(s) and MHE to a high-quality standard.
  • Support with the administration and general shift running as directed by the Production Manager.
  • Ensure all staff are trained on machines and are following SOPs.
  • Work with the production team to maintain a good standard of general housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform any reasonable tasks as instructed by the Production Manager.
  • Understand, read, and communicate on technical specifications and drawings.
  • Ensuring Company policies, Health and Safety standards and housekeeping routines are adhered to.
  • Work with the production and engineering team to ensure production schedule is met and exceeded.
  • Use hand tools and measuring equipment to achieve the correct product tolerances.

 
Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous team lead/supervisor experience in a factory/manufacturing process environment.
  • Must have a high level of production knowledge within a manufacturing facility.
  • Quality control experience and knowledge of using QMS.
  • Experience of driving FLTs/Side Loader vehicles would be advantageous.
  • Proactive approach to meeting production requirements.
  • Ability to read CAD drawings.
  • Experience of working shifts.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills with a good working knowledge of SAP or similar systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to housekeeping, 5s methodology and waste minimisation.
  • Proactive approach to Health & Safety in the workplace.
