About Our Client

Our client is a global manufacturing company and market leader in their field. We are working on their behalf to recruit a Sales Representative based in Western Sydney.

About The Role

As a member of their sales team, you will contribute to the success of the business by driving revenue growth, acquiring new customers, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
You will represents their brand, as they continue to strengthen their position as one of Australia’s most successful manufacturers of building related products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Planning: Plan and execute selling activities that will drive achievement of sales. Effectively manage time and resources to ensure focus on high pay-off activities that deliver on KPIs and targets, whilst championing our customer as their trusted advisor.
  • Managing Sales Pipeline: Tracking and managing the sales pipeline, to ensure consistent progress and timely closure of sales opportunities.
  • Generating Leads: Identifying and prospecting potential customers through various methods such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and lead generation activities.
  • Building Relationships: Developing and nurturing positive and profitable relationships with customers through regular communication, follow-ups, and personalised interactions to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Presenting Products or Services: Demonstrating the features, benefits, and value propositions of products or services to prospective customers through presentations, product demos, and other sales collateral.
  • Negotiating and Closing Sales: Negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts with customers to secure sales and achieve revenue targets, utilising effective sales techniques and objection-handling strategies.
  • Providing Customer Support: Offering ongoing support and assistance to customers throughout the sales process, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and facilitating smooth transactions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generating regular reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and pipeline status, and conducting analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining CRM Records: Recording and maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer information, interactions, and sales activities in the customer relationship management (CRM) system to track progress and facilitate future follow-ups.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in field sales is essential.
  • Previous new business development and strong sales ability.
  • Familiarity with the building industry, codes and regulations, customer channels, market trends, and competitive landscape is highly desirable.
  • Experience in prospecting and lead generation activities, such as cold calling, networking, and leveraging referrals, demonstrating the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Ability to lead discussions with a range of potential customers across NSW
  • Highly developed verbal, telephone, and written communication skills and the ability to liaise and consult with both internal and external clients and staff with a strong customer service focus.
  • Initiative, organizational skills, and flexibility to operate in both a team environment and independently.
  • Sound and relevant computer and keyboard skills (including proficiency in MS-Word and Excel).
  • An ability to prioritize and effectively achieve deadlines.
  • Valid (clean) driver’s licence.
