Trades Assistant

Our client is a major Food Supply chain giant, with facilities Nationally.  Our client has a requirement to add to their Maintenance team at their Lyndhurst and Laverton North Distribution facilities. 

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the key responsible and function of this role includes;

  • Assisting tradespeople in the repair process of various equipment within the facility and DC
  • Attend to breakdowns promptly
  • Assist contractors and employees
  • Reporting issues with plant and equipment
  • Adhere to OHS and Best Practice, & Food Standards
  • Record documentation according to Company compliance standards
  • Adhere to maintenance KPIs and targets
  • Address issues with plant and equipment and communicate with internal and external stakeholders accordingly

To be considered for this role, you need to have at least 2 years experience in a mechanical trade or similar role. experience in handling tools and equipment and work experience in either a manufacturing or supply chain preferable but not essential.
