Our client is Australia’s largest marketer of LPG. They have one of largest distribution networks in the country and are part of a Global company. 
  
About The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about business development and has proven experience and success selling industrial products. This role is field based and the successful candidate will be required to travel throughout WA on a regular basis in order to cultivate new business opportunities.
  
Reporting to the Regional Manager, your responsibilities will be to:

  • To prepare annual Business Plans and Budgets in conjunction with the Divisional Sales Manager.
  • To secure new business within your area in line with annual Business Plans and Budgets.
  • To fully realise the new business potential of each market sector within the area.
  • To train all new customers on the safe handling of LPG.
  • To generate new business prospects, through a combination of cold calls, leads and marketing programs.
  • To maintain all records of prospects, proposals and opposition database on the CRM system.
  • To work closely with established trade allies and expand our existing network.
  • To provide accurate and regular feedback of your sales activities via weekly planners and monthly reports.
  • Report all opposition activities, market trends, product developments, and price differences to management.
  • Adhere to the principles of Occupational Health and Safety and Equal Employment Opportunities while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • To work as an active team member of the New Business Team and actively participate in monthly meetings, sales conferences and sales training to assist in the overall growth and development of the company.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in field sales is essential.
  • Experience selling B2B
  • Previous new business development and strong sales ability
  • Sound computer skills with good attention to detail required for pricing and preparing quotes
  • Ability to lead discussions with a range of potential customers in Regional/Rural towns within WA.
  • Highly developed verbal, telephone, and written communication skills and the ability to liaise and consult with both internal and external clients and staff with a strong customer service focus.
  • Initiative, organizational skills, and flexibility to operate in both a team environment and independently.
  • Sound knowledge of the local area geography of Western Australia. The position entails travel within WA.
  • Sound and relevant computer and keyboard skills (including proficiency in MS-Word and Excel).
  • An ability to prioritize and effectively achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to learn a technical product.
  • Valid (clean) driver’s license.
