Business Development Representative- Mining & Civil

Our client specializes in procuring and supplying a comprehensive range of spare parts primarily to the Mining and Civil sectors.
  
About the Role:
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in generating new business and managing client relationships in the Mining and Civil sectors.
Your expertise in machinery parts and components, combined with your proactive sales approach, will be key to the success of our lead generation and conversion systems.
You’ll work in an office-based environment with the flexibility to work from home one day per week after six months.
You will be supported by a dedicated  Customer Service and Procurement specialist as well a comprehensive database providing visibility on target market contacts and fleets 
  
Reporting to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will include:
  

  • Lead Generation & Outreach: Execute and refine our lead generation system, reaching out to potential clients via email, phone, LinkedIn, and occasional site visits.
  • Lead Conversion: Oversee and refine our lead conversion system to drive success in transforming leads into clients.
  • Supplier Relations: Represent the company in engaging with suppliers, identifying new opportunities that align with our markets and strategy.
  • Customer & Supplier Visits: Visit customer and supplier sites as needed to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Trade Shows & Travel: Attend trade shows with management and represent the company at industry events. There may also be opportunities for travel to PNG and Indonesia for customer visits.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  

  • Experience in Sales to Mining or Civil Sectors: Must have a proven track record of selling to maintenance departments within these industries. Ideally, you have strong contacts within the mining and civil sectors.
  • Machinery Knowledge: You don’t need to be a mechanical expert, but you should understand the terminology and functionality of various machinery parts and components.
  • Lead Generation & Conversion Experience: You have experience with a lead generation and conversion system and have a demonstrated history of success in generating new business.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar is essential.
  • Office-Based with Flexibility: This is an office-based position in Darra, QLD, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week after six months.
