Despatch Coordinator | Steel Manufacturing | Sunshine | $40-$45/hr | Start ASAP

Zoom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Despatch Coordinator to join a busy steel manufacturing operation based in Sunshine. This is an excellent opportunity for a transport, logistics, or manufacturing professional looking for an immediate start.

The Role
Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for coordinating daily despatch operations, ensuring deliveries run smoothly and customers receive excellent service.

Pay Rate: $40-$45 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm (occasional Saturdays may be required)
Duration: Minimum 2-3 months, with potential for extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate communication between customers and drivers regarding deliveries
• Manage delivery dates and loads using system tools (JDE and NetworX)
• Record delivery times and distances in JDE
• Prepare delivery paperwork and scan PODs into the system
• Support other Despatch Coordinators with daily operations

About You:

• Previous despatch experience required
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities and demanding customers
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability with a results-focused mindset
• Resilient and able to manage pressure effectively
• Knowledge of load restraint guidelines preferred
• Construction industry experience highly regarded

Requirements:

• Must be available for an immediate start
• Must successfully pass a drug and alcohol test
• Must successfully complete a fitness assessment
