Dual Chamber Driver

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dual Chamber Driver to join our team. This role involves the efficient and safe delivery of medical equipment and vaccines to various locations. As a Dual Chamber Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of essential medical supplies that contribute to the well-being of communities.

Responsibilities
– Execute multi-drop deliveries of medical equipment and vaccines to designated facilities within scheduled timeframes.
– Maintain a clear and concise record of deliveries and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
– Interact courteously and professionally with clients and healthcare providers during deliveries.
– Conduct routine checks of vehicle conditions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
– Follow prescribed routes, adjusting based on traffic and weather conditions as necessary.
– Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to manage delivery schedules effectively.
– Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding transportation and deliveries.

Qualifications
– A valid Car or Light Rigid (LR) Licence.
– Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries, preferably in the medical or pharmaceutical sectors.
– Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully.
– A clear driving record demonstrating safe and responsible driving practices.
– Ability to pass a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
– An inclusive mindset and commitment to diversity and equality in the workplace.

Day-to-Day
On a typical day, you will start by reviewing your delivery schedule and route plan. Conduct a thorough pre-trip inspection of your vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal working condition. Load your vehicle with the necessary medical equipment and vaccines, verifying that all items match your delivery schedule. As you execute your deliveries, you will maintain cordial relations with recipients, address any immediate concerns, and document each transaction. Throughout the day, you will communicate with the dispatch team to provide updates or seek guidance as needed. After completing your deliveries, you will return to the depot for debriefing and to prepare for the next day’s schedule.
