The Opportunity

We’re seeking a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter who can combine hands-on mechanical expertise with parts coordination and maintenance planning.

This role is ideal for someone who understands maintenance on the ground and can also ensure jobs are properly prepared-with the right parts, tools, and materials ready before work begins.

Your practical experience will be critical in keeping maintenance activities efficient, reducing downtime, and ensuring all components are fit-for-purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply trade knowledge to support maintenance planning and ensure technical suitability of parts
  • Coordinate parts, materials, tooling, and repairable components for scheduled work
  • Manage spare parts inventory, stock accuracy, and Return to Stores (RTS)
  • Use SAP (MRP) to track inventory, manage workflows, and support procurement
  • Liaise with maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Support job close-outs and maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP
  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (essential)
  • Experience in maintenance environments (heavy industry or steel preferred)
  • Exposure to parts coordination, planning, or inventory/stores management
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP (MRP) and procurement processes
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and component identification
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both on the tools and in a coordination capacity
