Forklift Operator

Our client is a leader in metal recycling and resource recovery. We’re dedicated to safety, sustainability, and excellent service. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator to join our scrap yard team.

Key Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, and unload scrap metal.

Sort, stack, and organise various grades of metal in designated areas.

Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality and contamination.

Assist with general yard duties including cleanup and maintenance as needed.

Follow all site safety protocols and equipment procedures.

Qualifications

Valid forklift certification and demonstrated experience operating forklifts (preferably in a scrap, recycling, or industrial environment).

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Strong awareness of safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Physical ability to lift up to 20kgs and perform manual tasks as required.

Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.

Successful candidate must have unlimited Australian working rights, this position would not be suitable for those on student visas or with other work restrictions.
