About The Role:            
The company are proud of their outstanding company culture, and they are looking to recruit an additional team member within their Sydney facility located in Frenchs Forest.

The role is for a Machine Operator, to assist in the operation of the companies various spooling, slitting and die engraving machines and associated equipment, and processing orders as required. 
The purpose of the role is to support sales operations through the efficient staging, slitting, spooling, picking, packing and despatch of customer orders in a timely fashion.  
Whilst previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous, the company will provide full training where needed, as they are more focused on hiring someone with a suitable character and attitude that aligns with the values held by the company.

  
Key Responsibilities and Performance Indicators:

• Assist main CNC operator in the manufacture and finishing of brass stamping dies
• Manually finish dies and visually inspect to ensure they meet specification
• Assist main Graphic Machine operator where required by operating slitting machines, packing machines, core cutters and any other machines.
• Pick & pre-stage jumbo stock for machine operations as required.
• Process orders using SAP in a timely efficient manner to a high standard of quality
• Follow standard warehouse procedures to pick, pack, and despatch customer orders.
• Follow standard warehouse procedures to Goods Receipt all stock and consumables.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Always work in a safe manner and in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety procedures.
• Perform regular stock counts and stock take as required.
• Any other tasks as required to assist in the smooth operation of LKA.

  
Required Skills & Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must have full and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• Experience in a previous technical or industrial business an advantage
• Experience with CNC milling machines an advantage
• Forklift license an advantage
• First Aid certificate an advantage
• An understanding of SAP or similar large ERP systems an advantage
• Intermediate level computer skills including MS Excel, Word
• Manual dexterity and sensitivity (for manual finish of dies)
• Good vision is essential (optical control of dies through magnifier)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
• Must speak, write and communicate fluently in English
• Able to work independently, diligently and be able to follow instruction & work processes
• Reliable, flexible team player with a positive outlook ready and eager to assist as required
