Excavator / Bobcat Operator

**Duration:** Approximately 6 months (Potential for a permanent full-time role)

**Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 4:30 pm

Overview

Join our client as a Multi-Skilled Excavator/Bobcat Operator for an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a recreational park development project. This role involves initial earthworks, construction of recreational facilities such as running tracks, water parks, landscaped gardens, sports ovals, and playgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate 5-8 tonne excavators and Bobcat/Skid Steer machines to conduct precise and efficient earthworks.
  • Prepare land for initial construction, including trench excavation, drainage installation, and material transportation.
  • Participate in landscaping bulk works to enhance the park’s aesthetics and functional design.
  • Safely move pipes and materials across the site, ensuring the project stays on track and under safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project team members to execute the development plan effectively.
  • Maintain machinery in optimal condition to prevent project delays and ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

**Essential:**

– Valid White Card.

– Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.

– Proven experience in civil projects, particularly outdoor work involving long hours in diverse weather conditions.

– Proficiency in operating 5-8 tonne excavators and Bobcat/PosiTrack machines on active civil sites.

– Possession of a Bobcat/Skid Steer/Posi Track Ticket (RIIMPO318F) and Excavator Ticket (RIIMPO320F).

– Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, with a commitment to minimizing absenteeism.

**Desirable:**

– Passionate about construction and landscape development.

– Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

– Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a diverse team environment.
