We are currently seeking reliable and safety-focused Machine Operators for an ongoing day shift role in Canberra. This position involves bending and cutting steel, so we’re looking for candidates who are physically fit, safety-conscious, and experienced in industrial or construction environments.

• $39.98 per hour
• Monday to Friday roster
• Day shift: 6:00AM – 2:00PM
• Occasional overtime available
• Saturday work available when required

About the Role

• Operate machinery used for bending and cutting reinforcing steel
• Work with steel lengths up to 12 metres
• Assist with handling and movement of steel products
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and compliance requirements
• Work closely with the operations and dispatch team
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Support general warehouse and production duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in steel, timber, construction, or concrete industries preferred
• Machine operating experience highly regarded
• Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial environment
• Forklift Licence – beneficial
• Welding experience – highly beneficial
• Clean National Police Check required
• Strong safety mindset and reliable work ethic
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Ability to commit to Monday to Friday day shift roster
• Two professional references required
