Machine Operator – Sunshine

Experienced Machine Operators / Crane Operators – Steel Manufacturing (Sunshine)

We are currently seeking experienced Machine Operators to join a leading steel manufacturing site based in Sunshine. This is an excellent opportunity for operators who bring strong overhead gantry crane experience and a solid background in heavy industry.

Shifts Available:

• Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:10pm (Mon-Fri) – $43.91 per hour
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:10pm (Mon-Fri) – $50.50 per hour
• Alot of overtime available

Key Responsibilities

• Operating steel processing machinery (shear lines, bar bending, off-coil machines)
• Operating overhead gantry cranes (essential)
• Loading and unloading steel products safely and efficiently
• Monitoring product quality and machine output
• Troubleshooting and adjusting machinery as required
• Reading and interpreting job cards and production schedules
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Coordinating with team members to meet production targets

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in steel, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
• Proven experience operating overhead gantry cranes (must have)
• Valid LF Forklift Licence (essential)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

Highly Regarded

• Experience operating Combi Lift / side loader forklifts
• Previous team leader or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of production flow and team coordination
