Machine Operator Traralgon – Steel Industry

Zoom Recruitment have partnered with an iconic leader in supplying the construction industry. Our client with 46 locations across Australia are seeking experienced machine operators to join their team in Traralgon!

Commencing as a casual position with room to grow, the Machine Operator will be responsible for operating steel cutting and bending machines to various dimensions. You will also be trained to operate an overhead crane.

You will be:

• Ensuring machine start ups and checks are conducted
• QC testing and record keeping, maintaining logbooks and work area
• Working with loading and unloading equipment as required, inclusive of LF forklifts and overhead cranes.

This position offers successful applicants with:

• An hourly casual pay rate of $45.89 + penalties for overtime
• Morning shifts, available from 06:00am-2:30pm OR 7:30am-4:00pm.
• Training and development and room for growth!

Ideal applicants will have:

• Experience in the steel industry or similar background (preferable)
• Experience with machine operation (preferable)
• Overhead crane experience (CB Crane License highly regarded)
• Forklift license (required)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• A recent National Crime Check
