The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the ARC department at their Sunshine site on Afternoon Shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm). This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys hands-on mechanical work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

Role Details

• Position: Maintenance Fitter – ARC Department
• Location: Sunshine, VIC
• Shift: Monday to Friday – 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Afternoon Shift)
• Pay Rate: $75/hr
• Type: Casual

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment
• Diagnosing faults and completing timely repairs to support production
• Operating MIG, ARC, and oxy-acetylene welding equipment
• Machining components using lathe, mill, and drill
• Maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime
• Working within strict safety and quality standards

What We’re Looking For

• Trade-qualified Mechanical / Maintenance Fitter
• Strong experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments
• MIG, ARC, and oxy-acetylene welding skills
• Machining experience (lathe, mill, drill)
• Sound understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Forklift and EWP licences (essential)
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (no visa holders)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or in a team
