Mechanical Fitters – Premium Permanent Role | Rotating Roster

$88.61/hr + 16.5% Super + Income Protection + Travel Allowance

After several long-standing team members recently retired, we’re looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to step into genuine permanent positions with one of Australia’s leading steel manufacturers.

This isn’t a short-term opportunity. We’re looking for Fitters who want to settle in, learn the plant and build a long-term career with the business.

The Opportunity

Join an experienced maintenance team responsible for keeping a large-scale steel manufacturing operation running safely and reliably.

You’ll be hands-on across preventative and breakdown maintenance, fault finding and repairs on heavy industrial equipment.

The Roster

4 Days On / 4 Days Off

• 2 x Day Shifts – 6:00am to 6:00pm
• 2 x Night Shifts – 6:00pm to 6:00am
• 4 days off
• Roster provided six months in advance

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance
• Mechanical fault finding and repairs
• Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and rotating equipment
• Installation, alignment and overhaul of mechanical components
• Supporting plant reliability and minimising downtime
• Working to high safety and maintenance standards

About You

• Trade-qualified Mechanical / Maintenance Fitter
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, steel, mining, industrial processing or similar
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience with heavy industrial plant and equipment
• Comfortable working rotating day and night shifts
• Strong safety focus and a team-first attitude
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Able to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
