About The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Fitter/Technician. Based at our clients Condell Park site, the successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated team to troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime. The primary responsibility of the role will be to maintain and repair machinery to ensure optimal performance.
This is a Permanent Position.
Hours are 6.30am – 2.30pm (Mon – Fri).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and improve machinery uptime.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members to address maintenance needs efficiently.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Performing general plant and building maintenance work.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing setting.
- Motivated worker with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Welding Experience – Mig Tig
- Machining / Turning experience.
- Refrigerant Gas experience will be highly regarded.
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft suite and Preventative Maintenance system.
- Forklift License preferred but not essential.
- Restricted Electrical License preferred.
