Zoom Recruitment is partnering with a leading global agriculture company renowned for delivering innovative crop protection, seed technologies, and sustainable farming solutions that help farmers improve productivity and drive long-term agricultural success.

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Shutdown Planner to join their team on a contract basis, with potential for extension.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary package: $160,000- $180,000 inclusive of super (negotiable based on experience)
  • Flexible working hours:
    • 6:00am – 2:00pm or
    • 8:00am – 4:00pm

  • Monday to Friday role with occasional weekend work required
  • 3-6 month contract with possible extension

About the Role

The Shutdown Planner is responsible for determining, developing, and coordinating outage worklists to be completed during scheduled shutdowns. Working closely with stakeholders across maintenance, production, and contractors, you will manage the planning workload to ensure safe, efficient, and successful shutdown execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high-level outage schedules to ensure timely execution of shutdown activities
  • Compile and develop outage worklists covering maintenance, compliance inspections, and production priorities
  • Coordinate the work order planning process including:
    • Materials
    • Trade resources
    • Third-party contractor engagement
    • Job durations
    • Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Develop detailed and costed job plans for successful field execution
  • Create detailed job packs and safe work execution plans
  • Drive plant reliability through effective shutdown planning and coordination

Mandatory Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or relevant Trade Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in:
    • Project management
    • Shutdown planning
    • Execution management within a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment
  • Strong expertise in detailed maintenance work planning including:
    • Task breakdowns
    • Material and tooling requirements
    • Trade resource allocation
    • Duration estimation
  • Experience developing:
    • Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
    • Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems (MEX experience highly regarded)

Additional Desirable Experience

  • Pressure vessel inspection and repairs
  • Pump overhaul and maintenance
  • Mechanical seal installation and maintenance
  • Technical mechanical maintenance expertise within industrial manufacturing environments
