The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join the team at their Sunshine site, supporting both Mesh and ARC production departments.

These are hands-on maintenance roles suited to skilled tradespeople who enjoy working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment and are confident with mechanical fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.

Role Details

• Position: Maintenance Fitter – Mesh / ARC Departments
• Location: Sunshine, VIC
• Shift: Monday to Friday – Afternoon Shift
• Mesh Department: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
• ARC Department: 2:00pm – 10:30pm
• Pay Rate: $75/hr
• Type: Casual

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment
• Diagnosing faults and completing timely repairs to support production
• Operating MIG, ARC and oxy-acetylene welding equipment
• Machining components using lathe, mill and drill
• Maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime
• Working within strict safety and quality standards

What We’re Looking For

• Trade-qualified Mechanical / Maintenance Fitter
• Strong experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments
• MIG, ARC and oxy-acetylene welding skills
• Machining experience (lathe, mill and drill)
• Sound understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Forklift and EWP licences (essential)
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident – no visa holders
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently or as part of a team
