We are seeking a Mechanical Project Coordinator to join our projects division, where you will report to the Group’s Project Manager and manage the complete end-to-end cycle of engineering projects. This role not only demands technical expertise but also emphasizes communication, team collaboration, and the building of lasting client relationships.
Responsibilities
- **Full Project Management**: Lead project planning, execution, and delivery while maintaining quality, safety, budget, and timeline adherence.
- **Client Collaboration**: Engage with clients to define project scope, timelines, and resources, facilitating project estimates, quotes, and tender submissions.
- **Technical Oversight**: Coordinate with internal engineering and drafting teams to develop design solutions that fulfill client specifications.
- **Documentation Management**: Prepare and manage essential product documentation such as contracts, technical reports, and safety documents.
- **Procurement Coordination**: Handle procurement processes for materials, machinery, and equipment, ensuring all compliance with required specifications.
- **Team Leadership**: Supervise installation teams during project implementation, maintaining a presence to ensure quality outcomes and addressing challenges proactively.
- **Progress Monitoring**: Track project advancement against schedules and budgets, implementing corrective measures and providing stakeholders with regular updates.
- **Business Development**: Foster strong client relationships and support the growth strategies of the engineering service lines.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent qualification in a relevant trade such as Fabrication or Mechanical (Boilermakers/Fitters etc).
- A minimum of 10 years of post-trade qualification experience within the engineering industry.
- Proven expertise in executing engineering projects across diverse sectors such as manufacturing, food, industrial, materials handling, and mining.
- Management experience in delivering short-term engineering projects.
- Diploma in Project Management (desirable).
- Cert IV Project Manager (desirable).
- Cert IV Frontline Management (desirable).
