Roller Operator – Gunalda, QLD (Bruce Highway Project)

We are seeking an experienced Roller Operator to join a major Bruce Highway upgrade project at Gunalda Rest Stop. This long-term civil project involves widening and upgrading a 3km section of the Bruce Highway and is expected to run for 12+ months.

$27.32 daily travel allowance

Monday to Friday | 6:30am – 5:30pm

About the Role

This role will involve approximately 70% roller operation and 30% general civil labouring when machinery is not in use.

You’ll be operating a variety of rollers, including:

Padfoot Roller

Smooth Drum Roller (Single & Double Drum)

Multi-Tyre Roller

Work will involve compacting dirt, gravel and asphalt on an active Bruce Highway road construction project.

Essential Requirements

White Card

Roller Ticket

Current Driver Licence and reliable transport

Living within approximately 30 minutes of Gunalda

Proven experience operating Padfoot and Smooth Drum Rollers

Experience working on civil construction projects

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday (6:30am-5:30pm)

Willing to undertake general labouring duties when not operating machinery

Highly Desirable

Experience operating Multi-Tyre Rollers

Previous experience on road or TMR projects

Experience compacting gravel and other civil construction materials

Eligibility

This is a long-term position and is not suitable for applicants on Working Holiday or Student visas. Applicants must have unrestricted Australian work rights or a visa allowing full-time work for the duration of the project.
