About Our Client
Our client is a global manufacturing company and market leader in their field. We are working on their behalf to recruit an Outbound Warehouse Supervisor based in Western Sydney.

About The Role
As the Outbound Warehouse Supervisor based at the companies Penrith site, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse operations including storage, compiling and shipping of client products and materials, maintaining inventory and associated records, and the appearance and orderliness of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Ensure compliance and continual improvement in all aspects of safety leadership and systems to ensure efficiencies are not compromised by WHS.
  • Customer focus: Maintain a strong customer focus constantly striving to achieve 100% delivery in full on time.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the LEAN and continuous improvements methodology in line with company standards and compliance.
  • Compiling Planning: With a focus on customer satisfaction, strive to achieve daily commitments that contribute to >98% delivery on time and in full. Set targets (labour, daily runs, etc.) in conjunction with manager. Drive and monitor progress. Maintain timely production schedules and communicating issues or delays that may arise within plant. Ensure all resources are used to optimise output.
  • Employee Engagement: Improve engagement and culture through leadership, training and being a good mentor for the leading hands, production, and maintenance teams.
  • Supervise Teams: Provide clear guidelines on expectations for performance and behaviours. Monitor employee performance, provide positive and constructive feedback, and implement improvement programs where required. Drive training initiatives and processes to develop staff and key personnel (team leaders and operators) within distribution.
  • Quality: Drive quality standards. Lead root cause identification and elimination of causes of efficiency and waste issues and causes of lost productivity.
  • Employee appraisal: Monitor employee performance and implement employee improvement programs.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years: previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing and warehousing environment with a focus on process improvement.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams, foster a culture of collaboration, and drive performance excellence.
  • Problem Solving: Proficiency in identifying operational challenges, implementing effective solutions, and making informed decisions.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to convey information clearly, facilitate teamwork, and engage with stakeholders.
  • Decision Making: Sound judgment and decision-making skills to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and resolve conflicts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Quality Focus: Dedication to maintaining high-quality standards, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Safety Management: Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations, with a focus on creating a safe work environment and promoting safety awareness.
  • Team Development: Ability to mentor and develop production staff, providing training, feedback, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
