About Our Client
Our client offers a diverse operation ensuring comprehensive support through sales, after sales and tailored solutions across the Automotive (Trucks) and Power Generation industries.
About The Role
Reporting to the Parts Manager and working in McDougalls Hill, Hunter Valley NSW, your duties will be to:
– Make the customer feel welcome through the communication process
– Respond to telephone and counter queries from customers promptly and efficiently, ensuring the customers obtain the right part as required.
– Increase and maximise all parts sales and the sales of associated items such as coolant and oil
– Monitor customer back orders, reviewing the orders at least once a week prior to providing the customer with regular and timely feedback to maximise customer sales
– Build relationships with customers to ensure ongoing business and use of genuine parts
– Monitor and keep informed of latest product developments and updates, using these to maximum advantage
– Ensure timely supply of parts and information as required for jobs processed throughout workshop
– Understand all aspects of the Parts Department’s operations and functions
– Review freight and shipping rates to ensure the most effective (cost and time) methods are used.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
– Completion or in the process of completing a Certificate in Parts Interpreting (desirable) or equivalent industry experience.
– Sound experience in a parts interpreting or related industry role.
– Excellent telephone manner with good communication skills
– Sound computer skills with high attention to detail
Basic knowledge of the principles of operation of internal combustion engines (essential) and automatic transmissions (preferred) or related automotive industry.
