Plant Operator

This role will be working with a diverse group of mobile plant operators that encompass the handling of raw materials, molten metal, and finished steel products across all areas of the Whyalla Steelworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine operation within the steel production process
• Ensure all production activities align with quality and safety standards
• Conduct regular checks on machinery
• Follow production schedules to achieve output targets
• Keep work areas tidy, organised, and compliant with safety standards

These positions will follow a shift pattern of 5/5, 5/4, 4/5, including 12-hour days and nights.

Requirements:

• C Class drivers licence (ESSENTIAL)
• Prior mobile plant experience (desirable, but not essential)
• A ‘can do’ attitdue and an aptetite to develop in to a reliable multi-skilled mobile plant operator
• Strong focus on safety and keen attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a team and meet production goals
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical
