About the role

Zoom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established timber pallet and packaging manufacturer in Bassendean.

Our client has supported Western Australian industry for more than 30 years and is now part of a growing national manufacturing group. The Bassendean facility produces standard and custom timber pallets and packaging for industries including mining, manufacturing, construction and transport.

This is an ongoing casual position offering full time weekday hours and a genuine opportunity to transition into permanent employment. You will be visible on the production floor, leading from the front and supporting your team to achieve strong safety, quality and productivity outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities
• Allocate work and ensure production and quality targets are achieved
• Maintain a strong presence across the manufacturing floor
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure procedures are followed
• Train, mentor and motivate production team members
• Monitor machinery performance, workflow and stock levels
• Complete and oversee routine machinery and forklift safety checks
• Identify production issues and coordinate appropriate solutions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Maintain accurate operational records and reporting
• Step into broader leadership responsibilities when required

About you

We are looking for a practical and approachable supervisor who is comfortable working alongside their team in a fast-paced production environment.

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within manufacturing, production, warehousing or a similar environment
• Demonstrated ability to train, support and motivate employees
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Experience working around machinery and production processes
• Current forklift licence – essential
• Basic computer and reporting skills
• Full Australian working rights

Experience within timber manufacturing or pallet production would be advantageous but is not essential.
