Sales Representative

We’re currently seeking a Trade/Counter Sales Representative for a well-established national supplier of industrial gases, welding equipment, and safety products. Based in Port Hedland, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with customers, building relationships, and contributing to the success of a close-knit branch team.

About the role

As a Sales Representative, you will provide excellent customer service across counter, phone, and email sales. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you’ll combine sales support with warehouse and showroom duties.

Your day will include:

• Assisting customers in person and over the phone with orders, quotes, and product information
• Processing sales and maintaining accurate pricing and stock details
• Supporting account management and following up on customer enquiries
• Maintaining product displays and ensuring the showroom is well presented
• Manual handling of bulky items, including gas cylinders
• Collaborating with the operations team to ensure smooth order fulfilment
• Representing the business professionally with a strong focus on service quality

What you’ll need

• Previous experience in a trade counter, sales, or customer service role (experience within welding, industrial, or gas products highly regarded)
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Confident computer literacy and ability to learn product systems quickly
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with attention to detail
• A reasonable level of fitness (manual handling involved)
• LF licence (desireable)
• Full working rights in Australia – full-time hours required
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
