About The Role:
We’re currently seeking an experienced Service Fitter / Leading Hand to join our client’s dynamic and skilled service team based in the Sydney suburb of Kirrawee. 
In this role you will be required to carry out the duties of a Service Fitter for the Sydney operation in an ethical manner and always act in the best interests of the Company. Responsible to the Service Manager for providing service activities, in meeting both internal and external requirements to meet service growth strategies.
Leading hand responsibilities will include mentoring and training of new/existing employees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Service Manager with daily service activities including internal/external repairs and warranty assessments.
• Lead and guide the Service Technicians to enhance awareness, technical competency, and expert knowledge aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure completed jobs meet acceptable standards before signoff.
• Collaborate across business streams to ensure current and relevant policies, processes, and procedures are adhered to and improved as necessary.
• Assist with dispatch of customer orders as and when required in accordance with the company’s contract review procedure.
• To understand and support the company’s policies, procedures and work practices that ensure the overall objectives within the company are achieved in striping, assessing and repair of equipment to meet customer’s request and expectations.
• Lead by example in role, meet company and customer expectations for quality, timeline, reporting and communication.
• Carry out the duties of a Service Fitter in an ethical manner and always act in the best interests of the Company.
• Commit to a safe and healthy work environment and follow all company policies, procedures and safe working practices.
• Perform such other duties, relevant to the position, as may be necessary.

About You:
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Must be Trade (Fitter) Qualified – Electrical or Mechanical
• Solid experience in a similar Service/Operation management role is essential.
• Outstanding customer service and professional communication skills.
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Proven ability to organise and plan independently without distraction
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work well under Pressure
• To maintain always a high level of professionalism, a positive attitude and demeanour supportive of the business and colleagues.
