About The Role

You will oversee all aspects of transport operations, ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods while managing a high-performing team of truck Drivers.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the transport team, ensuring the effective planning, scheduling, and execution of transportation services.
• Optimize transportation routes and processes to reduce costs while maintaining high service levels and compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor and analyse transport performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
• Manage fleet maintenance, driver safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Proven track record at managing a team of truck Drivers
• Excellent people management, planning and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills (Verbal and Written) along with excellent key stake holder experience
• Knowledge of transport legislation, Compliance and Safety  
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Good problem solving skills with the ability to think outside the square
