About Our Client
Our client is a global manufacturing company and market leader in their field. We are working on their behalf to recruit a Warehouse Operative / Despatch Clerk based in Western Sydney.


About The Role:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Operative / Despatch Clerk will undertake general warehousing duties, in addition to admirative tasks in order to prepare deliveries for the following day. Including the processing of shipments through the ERP system, provision of customer documents, freight forwarder management, and problem resolution.
Due to the nature of the role the working hours are approximately 9am – 5pm (Monday to Friday), although they are prepared to be flexible on times to suit the successful candidate.

  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain a reliable and efficient dispatch service for all customers.
  • Resolve any arising problems or customer complaints and re-assign or re-schedule any return deliveries.
  • Complete tasks in the warehouse including but not limited to compiling, locating product, forklift work and general warehouse tasks.
  • Print and distribute picking slips for next day of compiling.
  • Finalise and print truck run sheets.
  • Manage requests for any add on to runs and ensure they are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare and distribute on a daily basis the Interstate backorder reports.
  • Manage the Distribution mailbox to ensure all communications are answered in a timely manner.
  • Manage customer transactions serving customers in Despatch Office.

  

To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Previous expereince within a despatch role is essential.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, IFS, WMS, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is required.
  • Forklift license is desired.
