Zoom Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Support / Despatch Support team member to join a leading transport and logistics operation. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors in a fast-paced yard environment while supporting the safe and efficient movement of freight.

About the Role

As part of the yard and despatch team, your day-to-day duties may include:

• Strapping and securing loads
• Setting up the yard in accordance with traffic management plans
• General yard housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment
• Assisting drivers with unstrapping loads
• Conducting gate checks and verifying customer pickups
• Supporting warehouse and storeperson operations
• Assisting with trailer and base movements
• Operating mobile equipment where required

The primary focus of this role is to improve yard efficiency by reducing truck wait times, increasing inventory visibility, and supporting on-time freight movements.

To Be Successful You Will Have:

• Current Forklift Licence (essential)
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment
• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Reliable transport and full-time availability
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and reference checks

Desirable (Not Essential):

• Load restraint experience or relevant tickets
• Dogman ticket
• HR or MR Truck Licence
